Principal's Message

Hello to the students, families, staff, and community of Warden High School!

I am excited and honored to continue serving as the principal of Warden High School. After a wonderful first year, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside our students, staff, families, and community. My first year has given me the opportunity to learn more about what makes Warden special, and it has reinforced for me how fortunate our students are to have such a dedicated and caring group of educators and community members supporting them.

I have spent more than 20 years in education, both in the classroom and in school leadership. My experience includes teaching Spanish and supporting multilingual learners, as well as serving in administrative roles at the secondary level. More than anything, these experiences have shaped my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful learning experiences are essential to helping every student succeed.

As we begin our second year together, we have several exciting opportunities ahead of us. During the past year, our staff and administration have intentionally redesigned Warden’s Career and Technical Education programs to create clearer, connected pathways that allow students to develop knowledge and skills connected to meaningful careers. We are also expanding opportunities for students through additional College in the High School courses, dual-credit opportunities, and courses developed around student interests and needs.

We are also focused on how students experience learning every day in our classrooms. We are working to increase student engagement by shifting toward more student-centered instructional practices, with less reliance on screens and more opportunities for interpersonal interaction, collaboration, discussion, and paper-based learning activities. Our goal is to create classrooms where students are actively participating in their learning rather than simply receiving information.

Another important focus this year will be building a stronger student leadership system within Warden High School. We want students to have meaningful opportunities to contribute to our school community, take ownership of our culture, and help create a place where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Students should not simply be recipients of the school experience—they should have a voice in shaping it.

Finally, we want our students to see the relevance of what they are learning. We are working to make stronger connections between classroom learning and the world in which our students live, helping them understand how the knowledge and skills they develop in high school connect to their futures, their communities, their careers, and the opportunities available to them after graduation.

I am excited to continue this work with our incredible staff, students, families, and community. Together, we can continue building on the strengths of Warden High School while creating new opportunities for our students to grow, lead, and prepare for their futures.
